Description (Service) Delivers medical transportation services and assistance in making medical appointment arrangements 
  • Provides transportation to medical appointments within the community  
  • Provides transportation and/or assistance from/to Whitesand First Nation to medical appointments (doctor, dentist, optometrist, specialist) in Sioux Lookout, Thunder Bay and Winnipeg 
  • Provides assistance with making arrangements for any medical appointments out of town such as booking appointments, hotels, and completing applications for mileage compensation
Health Office Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-12 noon, 1 pm-5 pm

Eligibility Members of Whitesand First Nation who require medical transportation assistance due to age or disability

  • Requires 24 hour advance booking; exceptions made for emergencies
