This research study is being conducted by the Ontario Centre for Workforce Innovation, in partnership with Whitesand First Nation. This study is funded by the Ontario Centre for Workforce Innovation through the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development. Whitesand Multi-plex Community Centre Completed

Phase 3 Housing - Water System project
Whitesand has been awarded Small Communities Fund from Ontario and Canada to expand the water distribution system which will prepare us for Phase 3 Housing. Click here to see the announcement.
Community Sustainability Initiative
The Whitesand First Nation biomass project has completed the Class 10 Engineering and is now entering into the final stages of a Power Purchase Agreement with the Ministry of Energy. Facilities include a biomass fueled electric power and heat cogeneration plant and a wood pellet plant.
